Categories of Memberships

AGES welcomes global leaders and key stakeholders involved in the planning and delivery of temporary infrastructure for international events to join the association.

With a combined annual turnover of more than €3 billion, AGES brings together suppliers across the full spectrum of overlay works, driving innovation and excellence across the industry. Membership is recognised as a trusted mark of quality, professionalism, and reliability in the delivery of temporary infrastructure for major events worldwide.

3.1 Membership of AGES is open to leading suppliers of services and works for temporary or permanent event infrastructures, referred to as “overlay works” required to host international events.

3.2 These services and works may include tents, temporary buildings and pavilions, containers, flooring, seating, power generation and distribution, lighting and sound, fencing, security gates, stages, scaffolding, footbridges and cable trusses, heating and cooling, water, sewage, toilets, sanitary facilities, kitchens, furniture and fittings, signage and wayfinding, look items, as well as other categories related to temporary infrastructure works (overlay works).

3.3 Full membership, hereinafter referred to as “Member,” is granted by the Board if the following prerequisites and conditions are met:

  • Possession of modern, adequate, and professional materials, equipment, or software to run the business
  • Employment of technical staff (Project Managers, Technicians, etc.) to ensure the professional installation, operation, and dismantling of products or works
  • Use of adequate facilities, such as manufacturing units, warehouses, or logistics capabilities
  • Recognition as a leading provider in the market with a substantial market share
  • Proven track record in successfully supplying overlay works for international events
  • Implementation of a Health and Safety Policy for the indicated work categories

3.4 If the Board cannot reach a clear decision, it shall consult a competent third-party agency.

3.5 Associated membership, hereinafter referred to as “Associated Member,” is available to individuals, agencies, architectural firms, institutions, consultants, planners, and others related to the business who can contribute to AGES’ goals. Companies providing overlay works that do not fully qualify as full members may also be granted associated membership. Applicants must complete a simple Application Form with a brief justification. Associated memberships are granted by the Board at its sole discretion.

3.6 The Board may also grant honorary membership, hereinafter referred to as “Honorary Member,” to individuals, companies, or institutions that have specifically supported AGES or pursue similar objectives.

3.7 Associated and honorary members may be invited to events or meetings organised by AGES at the Board’s discretion.

3.8 Membership begins on 1 January of each calendar year, or 1 July for semi-annual membership, and ends on 31 December of the same year. Semi-annual membership is only available for new entrants into AGES.

Membership Requirements:

  • Fully completed Application Form, including a recommendation from at least one existing member
  • Payment of Membership Fee (pro-rata if joining during the fiscal year)
  • Certification that the applicant has been in business for at least five years and operates adequate facilities with their own personnel
  • Acceptance of the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
  • Possession of adequate, modern materials and/or equipment
  • Employment of technical staff to ensure the professional delivery of products or works
  • Recognition as a leading provider in their market area with a proven track record of supplying overlay works for international events
  • International activity or leading position covering a significant area in their home country

For 2025, both associate members and full members are required to pay a one-time entry fee of €1,000.

Members (with voting rights)

This category is open to global suppliers, contractors, and companies that meet all membership criteria and conditions. Members have full voting rights and are actively involved in shaping the AGES network.

Membership is automatically renewed unless terminated by either party in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation.

Partner

This category is highly selective and reserved for organisations aligned strategically with AGES’ mission. Further details are available upon application validation.

Associate Member (without voting rights)

This category is open to individuals, firms, agencies, and corporations connected to the business of AGES members but who do not fully meet the criteria for full membership.

Associate members do not have voting rights, but enjoy access to AGES resources, networks, and events. Membership is automatically renewed unless terminated by either party in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation.

For members joining in 2025, as it will not be a complete year, the membership fees are set at €2,300 for Members and €1,500 for Associate Members. These fees are exclusive of VAT.

The yearly membership fee for 2026 is €3,500 for Members and €2,250 for Associate Members, exclusive of VAT.
